Mrs. Hollon
Grade K
Several years ago, while searching for a new place to live, I pulled into the driveway of my current residence and felt like I was "home". My husband, two children, and I have been blessed to live in Cambridge, Idaho. It is an area filled with natural beauty, abundant outdoor activities, and a caring community.
After high school, I earned a degree in Consumer and Family Studies and then worked in the private sector until my son was born. At that time I returned to college and earned a certificate in early childhood education. With this degree I taught preschool to my own children and others. When my daughter entered kindergarten, I decide to "follow" her into elementary school. It was then that I enrolled in college to obtain an elementary teaching degree.
In 2005, I received my master's degree in teacher education from Eastern Oregon University. That same year I obtained my first teaching job at Council Elementary School where I taught for three years. Then, in 2008, I was fortunate to be hired here at Cambridge Elementary where I teach kindergarten and first grade. It is wonderful to be part of a school where the dedicated and supportive staff works together to educate the students.
It is a true pleasure to teach children and watch the wonders of the world unfold as each child discovers the joy of learning.
