Principal Notes for 8/25/14
We’re back!! The school year is off to a busy start! Please mark your calendar for the annual back-to-school barbecue. The student body officers have this event scheduled for Thursday, September 4 beginning at 6:30 in the evening on the blacktop at the elementary school. The student body will provide the burgers and drinks. The remaining items will be a potluck with last names beginning A-M bringing a side or salad
and N-Z bringing a dessert.
If you have extra fruit or berries that you don’t know what to do with, our food science class will be studying pectin and could use the items. They will also need tomatoes and peppers in a week or two. If you have extra produce, please contact Mrs. Mink.
The schedules for the fall sport seasons are in from the printer. If you have already received your copy, please change the time of the Salmon River volleyball matches. They will begin at 6:00 rather than 7:00 as printed on the schedule. As a reminder, we will have a long weekend in observance of Labor Day this weekend. Classes will begin again on Tuesday. I hope you take this opportunity to spend some time with your child(ren). They will be out of the house before you know it!
Upcoming events include volleyball tri-matches with Liberty Charter and Pine Eagle on Friday. The varsity teams will be playing in Midvale, and the JV teams will be playing in Cambridge beginning at 4:30. The volleyball teams will host Horseshoe Bend on Tuesday of next week. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 5:30. Our first home football game will be Friday, September 5 when we host Greenleaf
