The Cambridge School District is seeking applicants to join our secondary team as our second agricultural teacher. Our agricultural program is known throughout the state and we are looking for someone with energy and a drive to continue pushing our students towards excellence in life and agriculture. In this position, the candidate will work closely with our current agriculture teacher. Specific teaching assignments will be set based on which classes best fit the skills and knowledge of each instructor and the needs of our current students. Along with teaching various agriculture classes, this individual will be expected to train students and teams in CDEs and LDEs as well as monitor and support students’ SAEs. To do this effectively, our agriculture teachers are on an extended contract. Through this extended contract, our teachers maintain a summer program that includes FFA activities, teacher in-service, program development, educational activities and supervision of student projects at the Washington County Fair. STATE CHAMPIONS!!!

Congratulations to the Titan Girls B-ball team for winning the state tournament!! This is the Titans’ first state championship in program history. On the road to the banner the team defeated Camas County in the first round 48-35. In the semifinals they rocked the defending state champion Rockland Bulldogs 45-26. The Titans faced off against the Kendrick Tigers for the title in the Ford Idaho Center. The score was tied at 29 at the end of the first half. The Titans pace of play and swarming defense wore on the Tigers and earned Tri-Valley a 54-48 victory in the Title game. The Tri-Valley Titan Sports Cooperative is hiring for the position of head boys basketball coach. NATURE OF WORK: 

 

Custodian

The custodian performs routine, manual work cleaning and maintaining the building and recurring tasks in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules. Supervision is direct with frequent inspections to assure completion of assignments in accordance with instructions and standards of cleanliness.

 

Kitchen Assistant

As a member of the school cafeteria staff, under the direct supervision of the kitchen supervisor, the Kitchen Assistant will prepare and serve meals. They will maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in the food preparation and service areas. 
 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Food Handlers Permit preferred

  • Successful work experience

  • High school diploma or equivalence

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Full-time, twelve-month, At-Will, hourly, benefits in accordance with Board policies.

 

EVALUATION:

Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board policy on the evaluation of classified staff.

Cleaning/Disinfecting/Positive Case Plan for Fall Re-Entry

The goal of this document is to keep the majority of our students in school for the majority of the time.

 

Staff and students on campus should adhere to the following:

 

  • Respect social distancing guidelines of six feet when possible

  • Limit physical contact (hugging, fist bumps, handshakes, etc.)

  • Stay home if you have been tested for, or are showing signs of COVID-19 or anyone in your household has been tested for, or is showing symptoms of COVID-19

  • Practice good hand hygiene

  • Cover coughs and sneezes

  • Wearing a face mask is recommended (parental discretion) but not required

  • No sharing lockers

Maintaining a Healthy Environment:

 

Disinfect surfaces and objects regularly:

  • Playground equipment, door handles, sink handles, drinking fountains, PE equipment, art supplies, toys, games etc. 

  • Cleaning products should not be used near children, maintain adequate ventilation and follow manufacture guidelines for use

 

Transportation: 

  • Clean/disinfect school buses after each transport trip

  • Drivers or other staff member will take child's temperature prior to entering the bus

 

Shared Objects:

  • Avoid shared items as much as possible that are difficult to clean or disinfect

  • Keep students’ belongings separate from each other

 

Daily School Procedures:

  • Parents need to keep children home from school if they are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms

  • Parents are asked to take the temperature of their child(ren) prior to sending them to school (bus, walk, drop-off)

  • Students found to have fever or other COVID-19 symptoms will be sent home. The school district will follow our standard procedures of contacting parents and then emergency contacts. Parents must make arrangements for pickup within 30 minutes of contact from the school

    • The school is not diagnosing your child with any illness or reporting to any agency based on symptoms found

  • In the event that someone in the household is ill, but did not get tested or did not receive a positive COVID-19 test, return to school will be as follows:

    • 24 hours after the last symptom of an individual, a negative test result, or release by a physician, all members of the household are permitted to return to school

 

Classrooms:

  • Minimize close-proximity tasks

  • Maintain as much as possible space seating/desks for social distancing with desks facing forward; if using tables, have students only sit on one side of the table so they are not facing each other

  • Instruction from teacher on proper hand washing and social distancing

 

School Provided Meals:

  • Breakfast

    • Elementary: grade level breakfast times are staggered to allow more spacing of students

    • Secondary: meals are put together by adult according to student choices, one-way enter and exit plan through library

  • Lunch

    • Staggered start to minimize time in line

    • Tables sanitized between secondary and elementary usage

 

Positive Case Plan:

 

  • If a positive confirmed (from a doctor) case should occur the district will collaborate with the South-West Health District and Adams County Health District

  • Decisions will be made with the local health districts on a case-by-case basis

  • Self-quarantine/isolate until the staff/student can return safely

    • Following current CDC guidelines, individuals that have knowingly been exposed to an individual that tests positive for COVID-19 will be quarantined from all school activities and will be allowed to return 10 days after exposure with no symptoms or 7 days after exposure with no symptoms and a negative COVID-19 test (test must be taken at a minimum of 5 days after exposure) ​

  • Communication with staff, parents, and students

  • Clean and disinfect thoroughly

  • If a short-term or long-term building/campus closure is needed, use the strategies in place for continued education

  • In the event of a closure, we will consult with Midvale concerning athletic events and practices

  • The superintendent has the authority to close school for 1 day. The board will meet for an emergency meeting within one calendar day of the declaration of closure.

 

Symptoms of COVID-19:

  • Fever greater than 100.3*

  • Dry cough, not due to allergies, etc..

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Chills

  • Repeated shaking with chills

  • Muscle pain

  • New or persistent headache

  • Sore throat

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Fatigue

  • Congestion or runny nose

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Diarrhea

Due to the fluidity of the coronavirus, the superintendent has the authority to make changes to this plan as needed. Changes will go into effect immediately. Any and all changes will need permanent approval at the next available board meeting.

* Even though the CDC outlines the fever symptom of COVID-19 as being above 100.3, our school practice is to send individuals home at 100.0 or greater.
