She was born in Waterloo Iowa. She has lived as far East as New York and as far West as Idaho. She moved around a lot as a child. She attended over 23 schools while growing up. This has made her very versatile. School was not easy for Mrs. Lewis. She always thought it would be nice to be able to help other students to have an easier time being successful. She loves helping people.
She attended college at TVCC where she acquired her associates degree in education.
Mrs. Lewis started working when she was 16 years old, in a veterinarian’s office, in Salmon, Idaho. She has also worked in a potato processing plant in Eastern Idaho. She later became a certified Nurses Aid and then a Veterinarian Technician.
Mrs. Lewis started working in a daycare facility when her daughter was four years old to accommodate her daughter’s schedule. She loved working with the kids. She then applied to the Emmett High School to work in the resource room. She was hired but had to go back to school to keep the job. She worked for a great lady, Mrs. Lutes, who encouraged her to go to school. She worked in Emmett for eight years in the resource room with Mrs. Lutes.
Mrs. Lewis was married to her second husband in Elko, Nevada in 2007. She move to Cambridge after her marriage to be with her husband. She has one daughter who is 23 years old, and one grandson who is four years old.
Mrs. Lewis has been working for the Cambridge School District for ten years now. She spent eight years in the Elementary as the librarian and Resource Paraeducator. She has spent two years in the High School as a paraeducator in the resource room.
Mrs. Lewis also enjoys cooking, canning, gardening, and playing with her grandson.
