Mrs. Waggoner loves being the Cambridge Elementary School Secretary. She says, “It is great to be around my kids and be on the same school schedule as they are.” She also enjoys being of service to the teachers and a positive influence to the students. Mrs. Waggoner’s started as the Cambridge Elementary School Secretary in the fall of 2016. She has been enjoying every minute of the experience. Moreover she enjoys sports, PTSA, and many other activities related to school and the students.
Mrs Waggoner was born in Midvale but moved to Nampa before attending Kindergarten through Eighth Grades. She moved back to Cambridge to live with her father and attend high school. She graduated in 1999. She is pictured in the CM/HS commons just above the center of the class collage as Kenna Seid, together with her pumpkins.
She has always enjoyed involvement with youth activities from babysitting her siblings as a teenager to helping children with school and community projects. She likes helping children learn and succeed at being better.
Mrs. Waggoner attended the College of Southern Idaho and Treasure Valley Community College. She earned an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences and has studied a couple of years toward securing a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and gaining a teaching certificate.
She met her husband while attending college and they married in 2005 in the Cambridge Exhibit Hall. They have two children attending Cambridge Elementary School, a 9 year old third grade son and a 6 year old first grade daughter.
While in high school Mrs Waggoner worked for her father on the family ranch. That led to working at a veterinary clinic while in college and later she worked at a lumber store. Before moving back to Midvale she worked as a waitress, cashier, and cook at a Sand Hollow cafe. While she lived in that area her children attended Purple Sage Elementary, Middleton, where she was involved in PTA, fundraisers, and the youth wrestling club. She has always enjoyed being with children supporting their activities in 4H, sports teams, and school.
Outside of school she also enjoys sports and outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and camping. She continues to work with cattle and horse riding on the family ranch in Midvale. She also loves to spend time with family and friends.
An additional note: Mrs. Waggoner and Mr. Waggoner, CHS Agriculture and Shop teacher, are sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Mrs. Waggoner’s husband is teacher Waggoner’s older brother.
